This position will focus on acoustical engineering, covering speaker design, material acoustics, mechanical acoustics, across Bang & Olufsen’s future product portfolio. We are seeking someone who thrives on direct interaction with design and building solutions.

 

Key responsibilities

  • Design, specify, and implement audio products   acoustic solutions
  • Demonstrate acoustical performance by prototyping and simulations.
  • Perform acoustic measurement and validate acoustical system performance.
  • Lead and co-operate with manufacturing vendors for high quality execution.
  • Work closely with Audio software and DSP teams, as well as mechanical engineers, hardware, and Industrial Design/CMF to optimize the acoustic performance.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies, contributing insights to the technology strategy and product introductions.
  • Explore, design and prototype new acoustical technologies and audio features.

 

What you bring

We are seeking an individual with proficient understanding and substantial experience in speakers components and system, physical acoustics and engineering in developing electroacoustic and electro-mechanical systems.

 

Moreover, you bring:

· Bachelors or Masters degree in the field of Sciences, such as Acoustics, Electrical, Mechanical or other applicable Engineering discipline with emphasis in audio and/or DSP.

· Ability to design, prototype, verify and develop audio hardware systems.

· Understanding of digital signal processing, signals and systems, and audio systems design

· Understanding of acoustics, psychoacoustics and transducers

· Understanding of mechanical and material acoustics

· Programming experience with scripting languages (e.g. MATLAB, python)

· Experience in simulating audio systems

· Effective communication skills in English

· Experience and understanding with acoustic measurements of loudspeakers

· Simulation experience would be considered as advantage.

Compensation: Competitive salary and benefits package.

Location: Struer or Lyngby, Denmark
