About the Opportunity

Are you ready to take the next step in your AV career? At Imagination Pro Media, we believe in growing our team from within and investing in the development of our people. This position is designed for an AV professional who has hands-on installation experience and a passion for technology-and who's ready to grow into a system designer role with our support and training.

This is a field-based position with a strong emphasis on the installation and retrofit of audio, video, lighting, and control systems. You'll work side-by-side with an experienced designer and technician, gaining real-world experience while receiving ongoing training to elevate your technical and design skills.

About the Role

As a Designer/Technician, you'll start by focusing on the installation, setup, and troubleshooting of professional AV systems for houses of worship and corporate environments. Over time, you'll advance into designing and implementing full-scale integrated systems-turning client visions into fully functional AV experiences.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who's motivated, curious, and eager to learn. The right candidate will bring a strong foundation in AV installation and a drive to keep growing their expertise.

• Core Traits & Base Skills
• 2–5 years of experience in the AV industry (field installation, service, or integration)
• Working knowledge of wire pulling, terminations, and equipment installation
• Familiarity with AV systems (audio, video, and control); certifications such as CTS are a plus
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• A genuine passion for the AV industry and emerging technology
• Natural problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
• Reliable, self-motivated, and detail-oriented
• Comfortable working independently and as part of a team in the field

Compensation

• Hourly pay - Negotiable and based on experience
• Potential Quarterly & Annual Bonuses

Responsibilities

• Assisting with system design and documentation, including layout drawings and equipment lists
• Supporting client consultations and translating technical needs into real-world solutions
• Performing installations and retrofits of AV, lighting, and control systems
• Troubleshooting and fine-tuning integrated systems to ensure performance
• Collaborating with other positions in the company
• Staying current with AV technologies, standards, and integration best practices
