As a DSP Engineer, you will collaborate with a talented team of experienced audio professionals, acousticians, and engineers. Together, you will support the design and implementation of real-time audio algorithms that define the unmistakable sound of Bang & Olufsen’s high-end products.

 

Key responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and optimize real-time audio processing algorithms for embedded systems in next-generation luxury audio and audiovisual products
  • Contribute to project planning, task estimation, and execution, with scope and ownership adjusted to experience level
  • Participate in, and for more experienced candidates lead, prototyping, debugging, code reviews, and performance optimization to ensure high standards of quality and reliability
  • Apply and help evolve best practices in software development, testing, benchmarking, and documentation
  • Collaborate closely with acousticians, hardware engineers, and software teams to optimize audio performance and ensure robust system integration
  • Support knowledge sharing within the team and contribute to continuous improvement of tools, processes, and workflows
  • Stay engaged with emerging trends and technologies in audio and signal processing, contributing ideas to innovation and product development
  • Contribute ideas for new audio features, algorithms, and improvements, informed by industry standards, competitive analysis, and evolving user needs

 

Depending on seniority, the role may include increased technical ownership, architectural responsibility, or mentoring of less experienced colleagues.

Moreover, you bring:

  • A genuine interest in audio, acoustics, and digital sound
  • Experience in digital signal processing, demonstrated through professional work, academic background, or relevant projects
  • Proficiency in Embedded C/C++ for real-time audio applications, with complexity and decision-making skills depending on experience level
  • Solid understanding of real-time embedded systems, including fixed-point and floating-point arithmetic
  • Experience translating prototype algorithms (e.g. MATLAB or similar tools) into efficient, production-ready code
  • Understanding of performance, memory, and hardware constraints in embedded audio systems
  • Familiarity with modern software development practices, tools, and workflows (e.g. version control, issue tracking, Agile methodologies)
  • Experience with, or willingness to grow in, areas such as testing, debugging, system integration, and performance optimization
  • Curiosity and interest in innovation, including exploring new audio features, algorithms, and technologies
  • Ability to take a system-level perspective on audio solutions, understanding how DSP choices impact acoustics, hardware, software, and user experience

Compensation: Competitive salary and benefits package.
