Job Overview

The A/V Technician responsible for setting up and operating a variety of audio-visual equipment. It is also
responsible for trouble-shooting any issues and tearing down (striking) equipment post-event.

Responsibilities

Job Responsibilities
● Set up/break down, patch, program and operate audio, lighting and video systems across
various spaces per event based needs.
● Responsible for safe and consistent operation of all equipment.
● Provide technical assistance and troubleshooting support for conference and event space
equipment, including projectors, audio systems, video conferencing tools, and other AV
equipment.
● Assist with maintenance, updates and inventory.
● Communicate with artists and clients for AV needs in conjunction with venue nuances.
● Accurately interpret and actualize instructions and notes by PM, TM, artists, and clients.
Required
● Flexible schedule (days/nights, late hours, weekends, and holidays)
● 2 years minimum live production experience.
● Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment and adapt quickly to changing
circumstances.
● Strong intrapersonal skills with an outgoing, friendly personality.
● Stage plot literacy and familiarity with production specific vocabulary and inventory
function.
● Basic understanding of signal flow, power distribution, as well as cable and conversions.
● A passion for music with a deep understanding of various genres and the unique
requirements of live performances.

Preferred:
● Audio systems knowledge such as Dante, Lake
● Visual systems knowledge such as Lutron, Crestron

Qualifications

Education/Formal Training
High school education or equivalent.


Experience
• Previous work at a live music venue, or comparable experience
• Intermediate to advanced knowledge of audio and video technology as well as lighting, with a
background in live sound engineering
