In this role, you will collaborate closely with designers, engineers, animators, and partner studios to create and integrate high-quality audio systems within Unreal Engine. The ideal candidate is both creative and technically proficient, comfortable implementing their work in-engine, and excited to contribute to a fast-paced co-development environment where teamwork and craftsmanship are essential.
Responsibilities
  • Design and implement high-quality gameplay sound effects, ambience, and interactive audio for AAA titles.
  • Implement and manage audio assets within Unreal Engine and Wwise, including Blueprint-driven audio triggers and gameplay event integration.
  • Collaborate closely with game designers, engineers, and animators to ensure audio enhances gameplay clarity, player feedback, and immersion.
  • Create audio for a variety of gameplay systems including combat, environmental interactions, UI, and cinematic moments.
  • Work with internal teams and partner studios to maintain a consistent audio style and quality bar across shared development efforts.
  • Iterate on audio implementation based on playtest feedback and design changes.
  • Optimize audio assets and systems for performance, memory budgets, and platform requirements.
  • Maintain organized asset libraries and documentation to support efficient collaboration across distributed teams.
Required Skills & Experience
  • 4+ years of professional experience in audio or sound design within the video game industry.
  • Experience implementing and tuning audio directly in Unreal Engine.
  • Proficiency with industry-standard DAWs and audio editing tools (Pro Tools, Reaper, Logic, or similar).
  • Strong creative sound design skills including recording, editing, layering, and processing audio.
  • Experience integrating audio into gameplay systems and interactive environments.
  • Solid understanding of game development pipelines and working with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills in a team-oriented development environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working on AAA console or PC titles.
  • Familiarity with audio middleware such as Wwise or FMOD.
  • Experience supporting combat gameplay audio and moment-to-moment player feedback systems.
  • Knowledge of audio optimization techniques for real-time games.
  • Experience working in a co-development or partner studio environment.
