Your New Role…
The Video and Audio Editor, Wellness plays a key role in shaping CNN’s emerging Wellness vertical through compelling, short-form video and audio storytelling. Working closely with producers and creative partners, this editor will help define the look, feel, and editorial voice of wellness content across CNN’s proprietary platforms and social channels.
This role is ideal for a highly creative editor who thrives in a fast-paced environment, understands the nuances of vertical and social-first storytelling, and is excited to help build something new from the ground up.
Your Role Accountabilities…
Edit engaging short-form video content for CNN’s proprietary platforms and social media channels, with a strong emphasis on vertical formats
Craft compelling hooks and clear, emotionally resonant storytelling within tight timelines
Design and integrate captions, motion graphics, sound effects, and music to enhance narrative and accessibility
Follow established brand standards while actively contributing ideas to help define and evolve the visual identity of CNN Wellness
Repurpose longer-form video, audio, and editorial content into concise, high-impact short-form iterations
Collaborate closely with producers and team members, incorporating feedback quickly and thoughtfully
Stay current on social media trends, platform best practices, and emerging editing styles, with a strong point of view on what makes content stand out
Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting fast-paced production deadlines
Qualifications & Experience…
5+ years of demonstrated professional experience in video editing, including significant experience creating content for social and digital platforms
Experience editing podcasts or audio-only content
Proficiency in industry-standard editing tools, including Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Final Cut Pro, CapCut, or similar software
Strong understanding of short-form storytelling, pacing, and audience engagement
Working knowledge of color correction and audio mixing best practices
Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and receive feedback constructively
Collaborative mindset with a genuine enthusiasm for working as part of a creative team
Nice to Have:
Motion graphics experience, particularly in After Effects or similar tools
Thumbnail creation and visual packaging experience
A personal or professional interest in wellness, health, or lifestyle content

In compliance with local law, we are disclosing the compensation, or a range thereof, for roles in locations where legally required. Actual salaries will vary based on several factors, including but not limited to external market data, internal equity, location, skill set, experience, and/or performance. Base pay is just one component of Warner Bros. Discovery’s total compensation package for employees. Pay Range: $70,056.00 - $130,104.00 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Warner Bros. Discovery provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, an employee wellness program, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and sick time and vacation.
