Job Description:
We are looking for a highly motivated Test Engineer with acoustic/audio testing experience to help introduce new Bose products to manufacturing, working in collaboration with our product development teams and our contract manufacturers (CMs).
About Us:
The Acoustic Test Group (ATG) at Bose is responsible for developing and deploying test plans, software, and hardware to test and tune the acoustic performance of Bose products. We are a small, energetic, and innovative team capable of responding with agility to new product complexities or schedules and are continuously improving the current acoustic test solutions.
About You:
We are looking for an inquisitive engineer with initiative to bring new ideas to fruition for the team. The right person will enjoy being challenged and solving tough problems. They will strive to improve the way things are done and will actively debate how and be engaged in doing so.
As an acoustic test engineer, you should have expertise in acoustics and automated audio testing, electrical engineering, and experience programming with LabVIEW/Test Stand software and other test software platforms (AP, Matlab, Python, etc.). As a candidate, you must also have organizational and project management skills, and the ability to write concise and clear reports, and be fluent in English as a second language.
On our team, you will help ATG to 1) develop acoustic test sequences and stations at our CMs, 2) be present at builds to monitor and troubleshoot issues and audit CMs when necessary, 3) process test data and provide data analysis (MSA, Cpk, build reports), and 4) aid with knowledge transfer, processes, and documentation related to acoustic test.
