JOB SUMMARY:

The Boat Assembly Technician is responsible for assisting in the assembly, installation, and maintenance of boats and marine components. This role requires strong attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and general knowledge of 12V electrical systems. The position involves performing hands-on build and maintenance tasks, troubleshooting issues during the assembly process, and maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work environment. The ideal candidate works well independently and as part of a team, communicates effectively with Customer Support, and demonstrates professionalism and reliability in all aspects of the job.


DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Assemble, install, and maintain components on boats according to specifications and quality standards.
  • Perform maintenance duties and support daily operational tasks related to production and repair.
  • Communicate progress and schedule updates to Customer Support.
  • Troubleshoot issues during the boat-building process to ensure timely resolution.
  • Request and maintain supplies, equipment, and materials needed to complete projects.
  • Apply proper use of sealants, surface preparation, and installation of marine components.
  • Follow safety procedures and report any concerns or hazards promptly.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Participate in developing and meeting standards for build quality and timelines.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • General knowledge of 12V electrical systems.
  • Experience in audio, marine, automotive, or RV installation preferred.
  • Basic understanding of fabrication and audio networking a plus.
  • Ability to use hand and power tools including crimpers, strippers, handheld torch, wire cutters, wrenches, sockets, and screwdrivers.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision or collaboratively within a team.
  • Reliable, professional, and adaptable to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Commitment to maintaining a clean and professional workspace.
Salary Description
$20.00 and up DOE
