Summary
The Technical R&D position plays a crucial role within the Operations Department, focusing on product management for the rental inventory across all of ON Services. This role involves researching innovative products and developing processes that enhance our rental inventory. You will also support the communication of technical information through product announcements, technical training, and collaborate with sales teams on product application and system integration.
Success in this role requires a strong independent drive, the ability to communicate effectively with diverse teams, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Documentation and analysis of new products' performance are also key aspects of the role, ensuring accurate adjustments to packaging, pricing, and ROI.
Key Responsibilities:
- Research and introduce emerging technologies to maintain a competitive edge in the rental market.
- Support product management by identifying, developing, and refining rental product offerings.
- Collaborate on new product development processes, from concept to implementation.
- Manage the life cycle of rental inventory, including packaging, application, and disposal to maximize product longevity.
- Participate in regular product team meetings, soliciting and documenting input from internal teams and industry sources.
- Rank and prioritize product ideas based on their financial and operational impact.
- Lead technical and sales training to maximize product effectiveness and profitability.
- Assist in product launches, working closely with marketing to communicate new offerings internally and externally.
Education, Experience, and Certifications:
- Detail-oriented, with a strong sense of urgency and professionalism.
- Broad technical experience within the industry, with a strong understanding of trends and system development.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Strong written, verbal, and comprehension skills.
- Proven ability to collaborate and communicate effectively across diverse teams.
- Excellent customer service skills for both internal and external clients.
- Ability to work extended hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on business needs.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
