About the Role

As an AV Technician, you’ll install, maintain, and service cutting-edge audio-visual systems for a range of customers and environments. From displays and projectors to control systems and networked AV devices, you’ll be the person who ensures every system looks great, sounds perfect, and performs flawlessly.

What You’ll Do – Build It. Test It. Make It Work.
  • Install and Integrate: Set up AV systems including displays, projectors, speakers, microphones, cameras, and control equipment—ensuring every component is installed with precision and meets company standards.
  • Run the Wiring: Pull, label, terminate, and test audio, video, data, and control cabling while following industry best practices and safety protocols.
  • Bring the Plans to Life: Interpret system drawings, schematics, and construction plans to execute clean, efficient installations.
  • Test, Troubleshoot, and Deliver: Assist in configuring systems, performing quality checks, and troubleshooting issues to ensure seamless operation before turnover.
  • Document Everything: Complete daily work orders, service logs, and project documentation accurately to keep teams and clients aligned.
  • Maintain the Gear: Take ownership of your tools, vehicle, and equipment—keeping everything organized and job-ready.
  • Be the Face of Service: Communicate clearly and professionally with customers and teammates, keeping projects on track and clients informed.
  • Stay Safe, Always: Follow all company and site safety procedures—your well-being and that of your team come first.
What You Bring
  • 1–3 years of hands-on experience in AV installation or related low-voltage work (preferred)
  • Ability to read and understand AV schematics, wiring diagrams, and construction drawings
  • Experience pulling, terminating, and labeling low-voltage cabling
  • Familiarity with AV/network test equipment and diagnostic tools
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational ability
  • Clear communication skills—both written and verbal
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team
  • Comfortable lifting up to 50 lbs, climbing ladders, and working in active construction environments
Education & Certifications
  • High School Diploma or GED (required)
  • OSHA 10 or 30 Certification (preferred)
  • Basic computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Industry certifications a plus (CTS, Crestron, Extron, Biamp, etc.)

Work Environment & Physical Requirements
This is an active, hands-on role requiring frequent standing, climbing, bending, lifting, and use of hand tools. You’ll regularly lift/move up to 50 lbs, work on ladders or lifts, and operate in a variety of environments—from finished offices to construction sites.
