About the Role

Centric Events is seeking an experienced Audio Engineer to help deliver clear, confident sound across corporate events, conferences, and live productions throughout Arizona.

This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in preparation, execution, and teamwork. You’ll work closely with project managers, event leads, and fellow technicians to ensure audio systems are thoughtfully designed, properly deployed, and professionally operated from load-in to strike.

If you enjoy live events, solving problems in real time, and being part of a team that values doing things the right way, this role offers meaningful responsibility and room to grow.

About Centric Events

Centric Events is Arizona’s highest-rated event production company, specializing in corporate events, conferences, and live productions where reliability, professionalism, and execution matter.

Our mission is to build and equip a team of next-level professionals who flawlessly plan, prep, and execute events that win a client’s business again and again.

We are a hands-on, team-oriented production company with high standards, clear expectations, and a long-term mindset.

What You’ll Be Responsible For

  • Designing, deploying, and operating audio systems for live events
  • Mixing FOH (and monitors when required) in live environments
  • Prepping, testing, and maintaining audio equipment prior to events
  • Managing microphones, wireless systems, and signal flow
  • Coordinating audio needs with project managers and event leads
  • Troubleshooting technical issues calmly and effectively on site
  • Assisting with load-in, setup, strike, and load-out
  • Maintaining clean, organized, and professional workspaces

This is a hands-on role. Everyone at Centric contributes to physical setup and teardown, regardless of experience level.

What Success Looks Like

  • Events start on time and sound clean
  • Audio systems are properly prepared and thoughtfully deployed
  • Clients feel confident and well-supported
  • Issues are identified early and handled professionally
  • Communication with the team is clear and proactive

Qualifications

Required

  • Strong understanding of live sound fundamentals
  • Experience working with digital mixing consoles
  • Comfort operating in fast-paced live event environments
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work extended event days as needed

Preferred

  • Corporate or concert audio experience
  • RF coordination experience
  • System tuning or optimization knowledge
  • Dante or audio networking familiarity

Compensation & Benefits

  • Competitive hourly pay based on experience and demonstrated skill
  • Hybrid pay structure may be available, including day rates on select projects in addition to hourly compensation, depending on role, responsibility level, and project scope
  • Opportunities for advanced audio rates as skills are demonstrated

Full-time team members may also be eligible for benefits including paid time off, health insurance contributions, life insurance, and retirement plan options, in accordance with company policy.

Why Work at Centric

We care about not burning you out.
Live events demand a lot, but they shouldn’t cost you your health, family, or sanity. At Centric, we plan ahead, communicate clearly, and build systems that allow for excellent work and a life outside of events. We’re committed to creating balance in an industry that too often makes you choose.

What supports that commitment:

  • Professional planning and prep that reduces last-minute chaos
  • Clear expectations, communication, and leadership on shows
  • A team culture built around respect, ownership, and long-term growth

You’ll still work hard here — this is live production — but you won’t be treated as disposable. We believe the best events are delivered by teams who are prepared, supported, and proud of the work they do.
