Job Summary:

The Technical Lead is a regionally assigned, execution-focused role supporting high-demand event areas such as Digital Services, Breakout AV, IT deployments, and Standard Tradeshow Booths. This role emphasizes hands-on technical delivery and operational support, serving as a developmental position for future Technical Specialists. 


Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute technical setups and teardowns for AV, IT, LED, and digital service components under guidance from Technical Specialists or Project Managers. 
  • Support digital services such as registration platforms, badge printing, lead retrieval systems, and mobile app deployments.
  • Assist in preparing equipment and digital assets for events, ensuring readiness and accuracy.
  • Provide on-site and remote support for AV and IT systems, including basic troubleshooting.
  • Coordinate with fulfillment branches for equipment packaging, rentals, and freight.
  • Maintain clear communication with event teams to ensure alignment on technical and digital needs.
  • Contribute technical details and equipment lists to proposals.
  • Ensure consistency and quality in technical execution across assigned tasks.
  • Participate in regional knowledge sharing and training sessions. 
  • Contribute to regional KPIs such as setup efficiency, equipment readiness, and customer satisfaction. 

 

Requirements:

Must haves: 

  • Minimum 1–2 years of experience in the event, AV, or digital services industry.
  • Familiarity with AV, IT, LED wall technologies, and/or digital platforms (e.g., registration, mobile apps).
  • Basic proficiency in configuring and troubleshooting hardware and software.
  • Strong attention to detail and task ownership. 
  • Good communication and teamwork skills. 
  • Comfortable using MS Windows, Outlook, Excel, and cloud-based tools. 
  • Expect to travel regionally (up to 70%, approx. 25–30 events annually).

 

Nice to Haves: 

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a technical or digital field.
  • Exposure to event logistics, AV system design, or digital service platforms.
  • Interest in pursuing internal certifications or technical specialization.
