WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:
- Lead the design engineering and drafting teams. Including coaching, performance management, team development and individual development.
- Ensure maximum staff productivity through weekly team metrics, project reviews, and monitoring staff workload.
- Increase engineering productivity by simplifying processes and implementing automation tools.
- Forecast work activity and redirect resources to meet project goals and schedule.
- Manage the engineering process to enable sales team productivity.
- Proactively identify bottlenecks in the process and find ways to reduce them to make the sales machine run faster.
- Leverage design experience and knowledge to work with engineering team to identify solutions to project specific challenges while monitoring expectations for design schedules, quality control and document delivery.
- Manage internal drafters and outside drafting consultants, assuring they meet the technical requirements as well as schedule requirements for design deliverables.
- Manage metrics/analytics programs to help the VP of Sales Operations make data-backed business decisions.
- Execute business process improvement initiatives.
- Conduct ongoing account monitoring to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Assist in engineering and drafting workload, as required.
WHAT YOU SHOULD HAVE:
- Technical or bachelor’s degree in related field, preferred.
- 3-5 years of experience in design engineering and/or leadership in the audio-visual field.
- Must have knowledge of the following products/concepts:
- Extron
- Crestron
- Cisco/Polycom/Lifesize VTC Systems
- Polycom Soundstructure
- Biamp
- ClearOne
- QSC
- Shure MXA
- Dante & AES67 standards
- Experience with Windows OS and the Microsoft Office Suite, preferred.
- Experience with D-Tools, required.
- Ability to read Crestron, AMX and Extron code, preferred.
- Ability to read construction documents to inform AV design decisions related to building construction and infrastructure.
- Knowledge of installation of products such as ceiling/wall mounted speakers, displays, cameras, cabling infrastructure, AV racks, wall plates and interfaces (audio, video or control), microphones (ceiling, table, wired or wireless).
- Knowledge of terminations including, but not limited to audio, video and control connectors.
- Understanding of Network Topology.

- Physical Requirements: While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to sit; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. This position may require travel between offices, jobsites, and/or client locations, which may involve extended periods of sitting or standing, lifting light luggage, and adapting to different time zones.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
The hiring compensation range for this position is a base salary of $100,000-$122,500. Actual compensation will be determined based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to the candidate's experience, skills, qualifications, and location, as well as internal equity and market considerations.
