Job Description

Timeframe: June 1 - August 21, 2026 and able to work in a hybrid work environment.

THE ROLE

We are looking for a Sensors/DSP Engineer Intern to join our research lab this summer! In this role you will help build our next generation of wearable and out-loud product experiences enabling people to hear better, love music more, and achieve more. The duration of this position is 3 months starting June 2026 (full-time 40 hours/week, in-person).

Responsibilities

· Develop and evaluate DSP and Sensor algorithms with a focus on acoustic and tracking applications.

· Develop integrated real-time demonstrations and experiences using prototyping hardware.

· Implement new algorithms for novel experiences

REQUIREMENTS

Minimum Qualification

· Currently a rising Senior B.S., M.S., or PhD student in Electrical Engineering, Acoustic Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.

· Strong experience with programing in MatLab, Simulink, and Python.

· Familiar with DSP for real time applications, room acoustics, and mathematics.

· Familiar with some tracking sensors, such as IMUs, cameras, radar, sonar; transmitter/receiver principles and sensor applications.

· Familiar with hardware such as amplifiers, signal generators, transducers, and microphones.

· Experience with cross-group and cross-culture collaboration.

· High levels of creativity and quick problem-solving capabilities.

Preferred Qualification

· Demonstrated sensors experience via an internship, co-op, class, or personal project.

· Knowledge of tracking algorithms and principles.

· Knowledge of RF and Sonar principles and applications.

· Knowledge of embedded DSP.

· Knowledge of C/C++, and bash scripting

· Music or Acoustic experience and interests
