Job Description

About the Role

We’re looking for an experienced engineer to lead the design and development of audio features for Android-based platforms. You will define architecture, guide technical decisions, and ensure high-quality audio performance for next-generation devices, including AR/VR and gaming products.

Responsibilities

  • Lead audio software projects and set technical direction.
  • Design and evolve Android audio architecture for new features.
  • Develop and optimize audio components for low-latency and immersive sound.
  • Collaborate with hardware and DSP teams to ensure robust performance.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve audio issues across system layers.
  • Stay up to date with Android platform changes and integrate new capabilities.

 

Qualifications

  • Strong programming skills in C/C
  • Experience with Android audio frameworks (Audioflinger, Audio HAL or similar)
  • Knowledge of audio signal processing and DSP integration.
  • Ability to debug and profile audio performance.
  • Familiarity with Bluetooth audio and codecs

The hiring range for this position in the primary work location of Framingham, Massachusetts is: $142,600-$196,000.The hiring range for other Bose work locations may vary.
