Yearly Contract
JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE: To faciliate light and sound and supervise school musical theatre production.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must possess a teaching certificate or a substitute-teaching certificate (60 or more college hours).
Knowledge/Skills – Verbal and written communication skills. Detail oriented and communicates in a positive manner with others. Works well under stressful situations.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITES:
Examples of Work Performed
- Overseeing the dance rehearsals of the school musical theatre productio
- Help in selection of dramatic material
- Choreograph all dances as assigned by the Head Musical Director
- Aid in other technical theatre areas (set design, set construction, costuming, make-up, properties, theatre business, house management and publicity) instruction to all participating students.
- Provide adequate information and support to the Vocal Director and the light and sound crew and sponsor.
- Make parent contacts for support
- Help publicize school musical theatre production
- Aid in the recruitment of participating students
- Assist with securing funding sources and fundraisers.
- Help keep records on student discipline and academic achievement.
- Help coordinate the ordering of supplies.
- Help maintain records of expenditures.
- Perform other duties as assigned. (School Musical Only)
- Assist in one or more productions consisting of at least three evening performances to the public.
- Submit Time Sheets to the Head Musical Theatre Director if one is required no later than the Monday following the reporting period.
- Participate in “All District” Theatre Events
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
This contract typically works throughout the year.
Yearly contract to be paid in three installments on approximately November 10, February 10, May 10
