DescriptionSUMMARY: The Technical Lead is responsible for overseeing and supporting the technical systems that power Fremont Street Experience entertainment operations, including FSE stages, mall audio systems, PA systems, lighting systems, monitor systems, and performer support equipment.
This role functions as technical authority, supporting system design, equipment selection, installation, programming, tuning, and long-term reliability. The Technical Lead ensures that all technical infrastructure operates consistently, efficiently, and in alignment with established performance and safety standards.

This position supports operational leadership by ensuring all technical systems are designed, maintained, and executed to professional live entertainment standards.
QualificationsTechnical Leadership & Systems Oversight
- Provide technical leadership and direction to the technical crew and nightly entertainment operations.
- Oversee technical operation of all FSE stages, mall audio systems, PA systems, lighting systems, monitor systems, and performer support equipment.
- Perform weekly show file back up for all stages.
- Fill in audio engineer shifts when needed.
- Act as the venue’s primary authority for RF coordination, tuning, and monitoring.
- Conduct bi-weekly RF scans, recalibrate systems as needed, and produce detailed RF usage reports.
- Create and maintain technical data sheets and system documentation for the venue.
Programming & Optimization
- Provide firmware updates for all audio and lighting equipment throughout the venue.
- Troubleshoot technical issues and implement both immediate fixes and long-term solutions.
- Test all stage systems biweekly for any issues.
Equipment, Maintenance & Asset Management
- Assist with installation of audio and lighting equipment.
- Ensure maintenance schedules for all audio and lighting equipment are followed.
- Assist with repair and maintenance of all in-house technical equipment.
- Maintain repair logs for all stage and mall audio systems.
- Help coordinate equipment upgrades and installations across the venue.
- Assist canopy maintenance crews as required.
Documentation, Training & Process Improvement
- Digitize and maintain procedural documentation for entertainment and technical operations.
- Create and maintain procedural documentation for technical systems and workflows.
- Develop and implement training programs for the technical crew.
- Lead technical staff by example, reinforcing best practices and safety standards.
Vendor Relations & Cost Optimization
- Seek out and maintain relationships with external technical service providers and vendors.
- Develop vendor relationships to reduce equipment, repair, and service costs.
Event & Cross Department Support
- Prepare for and assist in the coordination of events with Special Events staff.
- Work closely with Show Operations to ensure canopy systems operate smoothly.
- Support special projects as assigned.

- Digico & Yamaha experience is helpful but not required

- Be available nights and weekends – weekly shifts vary.
