About the Team
Bose Corporation has a long history of creating innovative high-performance automotive audio systems and is successfully extending its market leadership in total cabin sound management. Our systems are found in a broad range of vehicles from Porsche to Nissan. We are respected for the many innovations we have brought to the marketplace dating back to the world’s first custom engineered audio system in a 1983 Cadillac.

Come join our Global Research & Development community in Applied Research and Concept Development team that supports our Automotive Systems Division. This team focuses on creating concepts to demonstrate next-generation technologies and experiences coming through advanced development. They will also develop concepts to explore use cases and user experiences and de-risk product experiences.

About the Role

Bose is seeking to add a Principal Audio System Engineer to this exciting and fast paced business. We’re looking for engineers with a passion for audio and music. Engineers that enjoy finding creative and innovative ways to bring new levels of audio performance and user experiences to our customers. Candidates should thrive on challenging development schedules and may enjoy some amount of domestic and international travel.

About You

  • 10+ years of automotive audio industry experience
  • Strong understanding of digital signal processing, signals and systems, linear systems analysis
  • Background designing acoustic experiences
  • Solid understanding of acoustics, psychoacoustics and transducers
  • Experience with Automotive Audio systems
  • Experience with in-vehicle acoustic measurements
  • Proficient with Matlab and Simulink
  • Critical listening skills
  • Effective communication skills
  • Knowledge of digital/analog circuit design would also be helpful
  • BS/MS degree is required in the field of electrical or mechanical engineering or other applicable degree with emphasis in acoustics, audio engineering, DSP or other relevant field.

The hiring range for this position in the primary work location of Framingham, Massachusetts is: $171,200-$235,400.The hiring range for other Bose work locations may vary.
